Patricia DeLeon works intuitively with oils, acrylics, graphite, & gold leaf.  In her work the figure is at the center of a symbolic universe.  With lyrical scrawls, deep scratches and repetitive mark making, her work delves into how the worlds of form and spirit intertwine in human experience.

In DeLeon’s most recent work she depicts the Lotus flower emerging from the text of beloved poetry.  Searching for inspiration in our current moment connects her deeply to enduring notions of enlightenment, transformation and rebirth.
